Pins and staples from China (anti-dumping duty 2381)

Overview

The Commission has announced the initiation of an investigation, in the Official Journal ref. C425 dated 18 December 2019. The investigation concerns the dumping of pins and staples, originating in the People’s Republic of China.

Types of product affected

Product description:

  • staples:
    • whether or not in strips or in coils
    • hog rings, whether or not in strips
    • brad nails in strips
  • pins in strips:
    • of steel wire, whether or not coated
    • of aluminium alloy wire
    • of stainless steel wire
    • designed for joining or holding together materials or objects

Types of products not affected

Nails in coils are not affected.

More information

This investigation could result in anti-dumping duty being imposed at a future date.

The investigation came into effect from 18 December 2019 and will be concluded no later than 14 months from this date.

Provisional measures may be imposed no later than 8 months from 18 December 2019.
