Pinetops Nurseries Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence serial number 11/42/5.10/16 which authorises the abstraction of water from the Barton Sands at Pinetops Nursery, Ramley Road, Lymington, National Grid Reference (NGR) SZ 3057 9552.

The variation applied for is to move the point of abstraction to a borehole abstracting from the Barton Sands at a new site on Milford Road, Efford, Lymington, NGR SZ 30342 93941. The application also includes an increase to the abstraction quantities from 2.73 cubic metres per hour, 54.55 cubic metres per day and 15,911.26 cubic metres per year to 8 cubic metres per hour, 160 cubic metres per day and 40,000 cubic metres per year.

The variation will have an expiry date of 31 March 2026.
