Peter J F Stovold Farming Partnership has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence serial number 28/39/30/0161 which authorises the abstraction of water from the River Wey from National Grid Reference (NGR) SU 95092 44323 at Eashing Farm, Godalming, Surrey, GU7 2QB for the purpose of spray irrigation.

The applicant has applied to add the purpose of trickle irrigation storage for subsequent use with an associated additional abstraction quantity of 41,085m3/year, for abstraction all year.

They have also applied to increase the overall daily abstraction rate to 900m3/day for both purposes. Abstraction for the new purpose will take place via a new abstraction point via a side weir at NGR SU 95094 44326. The application is located within the River Wey which falls under the Wey ALS area and within the Wey Addleston Bourne C03900B hydrometric catchment.
