The IFRC is part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement (RCM). The IFRC has a global reach through its 190 member National Societies giving it strong potential to strengthen disaster resilience, preparedness and response at national and local levels. IFRC’s ability to coordinate global surge capability allows it to respond to large-scale, as well as less, visible disasters.
