The Environment Agency has received a new bespoke application for an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 from McCormick (UK) Limited.

Section 6.8 A(1)(d)(iii) Treatment and processing of animal and vegetable raw materials (other than milk only), both in combined and separate products.
Section 5.4 A(1)(a)(ii) Disposal of non-hazardous waste with a capacity exceeding 50 tonnes per day via physico-chemical treatment.
The facility produces condiments which consist of a range of wet sauces for commercial customers. The site has two medium combustion plant boilers 2 x 4.2MWth which are fuelled on natural gas; the site also has 4 x 0.61MWth steam boilers; and 2 x 0.388MWth water heaters. The effluent treatment plant which involves physico-chemical treatment which is then discharged to sewer.
