Details of the application

Paul Mansfield has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.

The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Stour catchment.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water as follows:

  • at an instantaneous rate of 8.8 litres per second
  • 32 cubic metres an hour
  • 760 cubic metres a day
  • 30,818 cubic metres a year
  • between 1 April and 30 September inclusive in each year
  • at National Grid Reference TR 22420 66295
  • from abstraction location North Stream at Chislet Farm, Boyden Gate, Canterbury, Kent.

The water will be used for Trickle irrigation.
