Paul Anderson trading as P & N Anderson and Son has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

Application reference NPS/WR/033482 is for a full licence to abstract from the North Forty Foot Drain near Boston and Wyberton, Lincolnshire between National Grid References TF 25915 46184 and TF 26653 45404.

Application reference NPS/WR/033783 is for a full licence to abstract from the Old Hammond Beck near Boston and Wyberton, Lincolnshire at National Grid Reference TF 29386 41722.

Each application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 30 cubic metres an hour
  • 400 cubic metres a day
  • 5,500 cubic metres a year
  • between 1 April and 31 October inclusive in each year.

The water will be used for spray irrigation.

The proposal requests that the abstraction quantities will be aggregated between both licences, and the maximum quantities authorised between the licences will be 30 cubic metres per hour, 400 cubic metres per day and 5,500 cubic metres per year.
