Patents of covid testing kits

Information request:

A copy or link to all patents on Sars CoV-2 testing kits, i.e. all the testing kits to which the government guidance applies, including dates of invention, owners of the patents, dates they went to manufacture, etc.

Information released:

The Intellectual Property Office (IPO) holds this information on such patents, at least in part, but it is exempt from disclosure under Section 21 of the Freedom of Information Act because it is accessible to you as it is already in the public domain.

Guidance on searching for patents is available on the government website, with links to the IPO’s patent information and document service (Ipsum) and the European Patent Office’s Espacenet database.

Please note that you will be able to find information on the status, ownership and inventor details of patents per se, if already published, but not details of commercial use, i.e. the manufacture of products relying on patented inventions.
