Partingtons Holiday Centres Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is to vary licence serial number NW/072/0417/002/R01 which authorises the abstraction of water from underground strata comprising sands and gravels at Windy Harbour Holiday Park, Singleton, Blackpool, Lancashire at National Grid Reference (NGR) SD 39128 39919.
The variation applied for is to include an additional borehole at NGR SD 39101 39953 for private water supply with increased abstraction quantities. As part of the application, the abstraction purpose for the existing borehole will change from private water supply to spray irrigation.
The application is to abstract water all year as follows for the purpose of spray irrigation (existing borehole):
- 9 cubic metres per hour
- 109 cubic metres per day
- 28,162 cubic metres per year
The application is to abstract water all year as follows for the purpose of private water supply (New borehole):
- 25 cubic metres an hour
- 500 cubic metres a day
- 127,900 cubic metres a year
