Parkdean Holiday Parks Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence serial number 14/50/008/0643 which authorises the abstraction of water from underground strata comprising of Pilton Shales at Ruda Holiday Park in Croyde Bay, Devon, National Grid Reference (NGR) SS 43563 39876 all year for commercial and agricultural purposes.

The applicant has proposed a new abstraction point at NGR SS 43548 39876 through use of a new borehole on site, aswell as an increase in their annual abstraction from 49,830 cubic metres to 64,830 cubic metres for commercial purposes on site. No further changes have been requested.
