Park Farm Partners has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence serial number 7/34/01/*G/0019 which authorises the abstraction of water from Underground Strata comprising of Chalk at National Grid Reference TF 90488 42962 located at Holkham, Wells Next the Sea in Norfolk.

The variation applied for is to add an additional purpose to the licence. The proposal will add quantities of 682 cubic metres per day, 80,000 cubic metres per year to the licence for filling a reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation. This will increase the aggregated licensed quantity to 98,000 cubic metres per year.

This application follows the lapse of time limited conditions that previously allowed what has been applied for, except a lower quantity of 77,000 cubic metres per year for filling a reservoir.
