Parent, pupil and learner voice: October 2025

Parent, pupil and learner voice technical report: 2025 to 2026 academic year

Details

The parent, pupil and learner voice was set up to provide robust, rapid research on the experiences of parents, pupils and learners on topical education issues.

In October 2025, the Department for Education (DfE) recruited a panel of:

  • parents or carers of primary school pupils in years 1 to 6
  • parents or carers of special school pupils in years 1 to 11
  • parents or carers of secondary school pupils in years 7 to 11
  • secondary school pupils in years 7 to 11

The panel were asked questions submitted by policy teams across DfE.

More detail on the methodology can be found in ‘Parent, pupil and learner voice technical report: 2025 to 2026 academic year’.

Parent, pupil and learner panel omnibus surveys for 2024 to 2025 are also available.
