Details of the application

Pam Bowers has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence serial number AN/030/0013/079 which authorises the abstraction of water from Maud Foster and Fen Catchwater Drains at National Grid Reference TF 34953 57877.

The variation applied for is for winter abstraction to add extra quantities to the licence to allow filling of a second reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation on a different part of the farm.

The added quantities to be applied are 5,000 cubic metres per year, 91 cubic metres per day, 4 cubic metres per hour, at an instantaneous rate of 6.1 litres per second.

This will mean a total amount of 9,000 cubic metres per year, 182 cubic metres per hour, 8 cubic metres per day, at an instantaneous rate of 12.2 litres per second will be licensed.

The total quantities will be aggregated across both purposes, so that each reservoir will only hold the quantitites allocated to it.
