Common and limited kerbside collection lists 2027

Commonly collected refers to packaging that’s collected at kerbside for recycling by at least 75% of local authorities across all 4 UK nations (England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales).

Limited collection refers to packaging that’s collected at kerbside for recycling by between 50 and 75% of local authorities across all 4 UK nations.

Commonly collected 2027

For 2027, packaging items commonly collected at kerbside for recycling are:

  • aerosols
  • bottles and jars
  • brown envelopes
  • cardboard sleeves
  • cereal box
  • corrugated cardboard
  • detergent and household cleaner bottles
  • drink bottles
  • drink cans
  • egg boxes
  • foil trays
  • food pots and tubs
  • food tins
  • fruit and vegetable punnets
  • lids from glass jars
  • margarine tubs
  • milk bottles
  • plastic trays
  • toiletries and shampoo bottles
  • toilet roll tubes
  • window envelopes
  • yoghurt pots

Limited collection 2027

For 2027, packaging items with limited kerbside collection for recycling are Tetra and liquid food and drink cartons.
