The PACE Code A 2023 has been superseded by a newer version of the code that came into force on 20 December 2023.

This revised PACE Code A has effect from 17 January 2023 following a statutory consultation.

It covers police powers to stop and search persons and vehicles and the requirements for officers to make a record of a stop or encounter.
