P. J. Thory Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from sands and gravels within the Welland and Deepings IDB, Market Deeping, Peterborough, from an area indicated by National Grid References (NGR) TF 12446 11165, TF 12678 11281, TF 12749 11141 and TF 12516 11024 to transfer it to a drain at NGR TF 12412 11176 without intervening use.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 63 cubic metres an hour
  • 1,510 cubic metres a day
  • 551,150 cubic metres a year
  • all year.

The application is for the purpose of dewatering.
