The Environment Agency has received an application to vary an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 involving substantial change to a permit from FCC Environment (UK) Limited.

5.4 Part A1(b)(ii) - recovery or a mix of recovery and disposal of non-hazardous waste with a capacity exceeding 75 tonnes per day involving pre-treatment of waste for incineration or co-incineration. The site is a Materials Recycling Facility for the receipt, storage and transfer of non-hazardous waste. The Site is a waste installation facility that accepts non-hazardous waste for the purpose of producing Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF). This substantial variation application is seeking to amend the permit to accept new waste types, for the treatment of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).
