This document contains the following information: Optional protocol to the Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities: adopted in New York, 13 December 2006.

The Optional Protocol was ratified by the United Kingdom on 7 August 2009 and entered into force on 6 September 2009. The Optional protocol was previously published as Miscellaneous no. 6 (2006), Cm.7644 (ISBN 9780101764421).

This Command Paper was laid before Parliament by a Government Minister by Command of Her Majesty. Command Papers are considered by the Government to be of interest to Parliament but are not required to be presented by legislation.
