This follow-up tracker survey was commissioned by the Office for Product Safety and Standards from YouGov. Previous waves have focused on understanding consumers’ awareness of and attitudes to a range of product safety issues. In this case the main objective was to gain information on experience of harms and detriment, to augment the growing evidence base in this area, which will be used by multiple teams for multiple purposes. The research included topical insights on consumers with physical disabilities, emerging technologies, and personal light electric vehicles (PLEVs). Its findings were based on a representative sample of 10,037 people from across the UK with a supporting telephone survey of 251 people who are very low or non-internet users.
