This follow-up tracker survey was commissioned by the Office for Product Safety and Standards from YouGov. It includes comparisons against wave 1 where applicable. Its main objective was to understand consumers’ awareness of and views on a range of product safety issues to gain new insight on OPSS policy areas, building on existing research and evidence. It explored topical policy areas including magnets, smart devices and the circular economy. It also considered vulnerabilities and vulnerable groups. Its findings were based on a representative sample of 10,296 people from across the UK with a supporting telephone survey of 251 people who are very low or non-internet users.
