This strategy encompasses the full breadth of our policy, delivery, and regulatory responsibilities as a product regulator. It incorporates our organisational learning from our first years of operation and comes in the context of transformational change across the UK economy and society.
Our primary purpose is to protect people and places from product-related harm, ensuring consumers and businesses can buy and sell products with confidence. We use science, evidence, and data to shape our interventions.
The product regulations we enforce, either alongside local authorities or as the sole national enforcement authority, encompass the full product lifecycle. We work in partnership across government, with departments, with other regulators, with other market surveillance bodies, and with border control authorities.
