Details

In April 2012 the FCO published an Open Data Strategy outlining its approach to Transparency and Open Data and it’s aspirations regarding future publication and implementation. This document is an update to that approach.

We aim to publish our data as fully and openly as possible. However there are some occasions when this would jeopardise the National Security of the UK and her citizens, the UK Government’s Diplomatic relations with other jurisdictions, or place our staff or partners in danger. In these instances we reserve the right to exclude some detail from our data publications. We do this in line with the Information Commissioner’s Office principles on refusing a request for information.
