Details

The Financial Services Growth and Competitiveness Strategy (the FS Strategy), published in July 2025 as part of the Industrial Strategy, set out a ten-year plan for the UK to be the world’s centre of choice for financial services investment now and in 2035. The government committed to reporting annually on progress delivering the FS Strategy. This document sets out key milestones achieved in the first year, as the government takes the next steps to deliver on the ambition of the FS Strategy, working in partnership with industry and the regulators. By supporting the success of the financial services sector, the government will support the real economy, raise living standards, and improve outcomes for consumers and small businesses across the UK.
