Details of the application

Old Plaw Hatch Farm has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.

The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Medway catchment.

The application is to vary a full licence to abstract water as follows:

  • at an instantaneous rate of 1 litre per second
  • 4 cubic metres an hour
  • 30 cubic metres a day
  • 1,800 cubic metres a year
  • between 1 April and 31 March inclusive in each year
  • at National Grid References (NGRs) TQ 39739 32691 (Point A) and TQ 39174 32870 (Point B)
  • from abstraction location Plawhatch Farm.

The water will be used for Trickle irrigation - direct.
