  1. How many close protection licence holders are there in total as of August 2023?
  2. How many close protection licences were granted/issued in: 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 to date (please show total for each year individually)?
  3. Since the introduction of the new top-up course requirements, how many close protection licence holders exchanged their close protection licence for a door supervisor licence?
  4. Since the introduction of the new top-up course requirements, how many close protection licence holders have not renewed their licence?
  5. Since 1 January 2019 to date, how many close protection licences have been revoked and suspended (please show totals for both)?

2.3 Close protection licence holders who have switched licences

409 individuals applied for a door supervision licence in exchange for a close protection licence within the window of renewing their close protection licence.

2.4 Close protection licence holders who have not renewed their licence

Since the introduction of close protection top-up requirements on 1 October 2022, 2,636 close protection licences have expired without a renewal application being submitted. This number includes those who would not have renewed regardless of the top-up requirement.
