1. Request
I need to find out, by region, how many SIA licensed badge holders there are in the following target areas.

I can confirm that the SIA does hold the information you have requested.
In your request we have noticed that the list comprises of mostly councils as opposed to regions. However as per your request, we note that you have asked for a breakdown of licence holders by region. The SIA holds these statistics, and they are publicly accessible here: SIA licence holders.
You will see that the statistics are generated on a monthly basis. You may choose a particular month within a year that is most relevant to you. Once you have chosen the relevant month, a spreadsheet will open and here you can move between the following tabs to find the information you need:
- Age
- Gender
- Nationality
- UK region
- Licences by Sector and Gender
You will also see that the tab covering ‘Licences by Sector and Gender’ provides you with the statistics for the number of licensees dependent upon sector.
Please note that those with door supervisor licences are covered to undertake security guarding work, however, those who have security guarding licences are not permitted to undertake the role of a door supervisor. Please also note that although these statistics say how many licensed individuals there are in a certain region, this does not mean that those individuals are actively working in that role. The SIA does not hold this information as we are not the employer.
