  1. Returns to the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) controlled area of Iraq are by scheduled flights via Amman to Erbil International Airport.

6 and 7. All returns to the Kurdistan Region take place with the approval of the KRG. All cases returned are verified and pre-cleared by KRG officials prior to return. Verification and acceptance is on a case-by-case basis and supported by all available bio-data, identity documents and other supporting evidence of Iraqi nationality and links to a KRG-controlled area of Iraq.

  1. We are not aware of any returnees to the Kurdistan Region who have been returned to the UK.

  2. A total of 18 cases have not been accepted for return to the Kurdistan Region. This is because there was insufficient evidence of Iraqi nationality for these individuals, or because checks by the KRG showed that they were not from the Kurdistan Region.
