- public space surveillance (CCTV)
- security guarding
For each year, please provide:
- the total number of active licences across the UK
- the number of active licences in London

Number of active public space surveillance (CCTV) licences
We have attached a CSV file which shows the number of active SIA licences held for public space surveillance (CCTV) across the UK and London since 31 December 2011.
Number of active security guarding licences
We have attached a CSV file which shows the number of active SIA licences held for security guarding across the UK and London since 31 December 2011.
Notes
Please note that an individual can hold both a public space surveillance (CCTV) and security guarding licence.
The London data is based on the ‘travel to work area’. A travel to work area is a statistical tool used to indicate an area where the population would generally commute to a larger town, city or conurbation for the purposes of employment.
