This is the first annual report and accounts of the NDA which was established in April 2005 under the Energy Act 2004. The NDA is a non-departmental public body which is operationally independent of the Government although it reports to the Department of Trade and Industry and to the Scottish Executive.

This paper was laid before Parliament in response to a legislative requirement or as a Return to an Address and was ordered to be printed by the House of Commons.
