2. Key points
2.1 Retailer update
CCOs updated the GCA about compliance activity since the July/August 2025 Retailer meetings and about changes in Retailer businesses that may pose risks to Code compliance. CCOs presented to the GCA anonymised accounts of steps taken by the Retailer to address individual Code issues reported to them by suppliers.
2.2 Retailer action plans
The GCA discussed with CCOs the actions Retailers were taking to resolve issues reported by suppliers, including those highlighted in the 2025 GCA annual survey. Discussions covered the specific issues reported as being most prevalent at each Retailer including, wherever relevant, delays in payments, forecasting and de-listing. For each issue, proportionate actions and reporting requirements were agreed to promptly improve compliance with the Code by each Retailer.
2.3 Hearing from suppliers
The GCA noted the persistence of some Code issues and the importance of supplier feedback in enabling the GCA and Retailers to eliminate those issues. CCOs explained the actions that they were taking to facilitate confidential reporting of issues and to ensure no negative consequences for suppliers that do raise issues. The GCA and CCOs discussed steps that Retailers could take to communicate to suppliers that Retailers want to hear from them when issues arise.
2.4 Any other business
The GCA and Retailers discussed any other business, including any matters specific to each Retailer.
