Details of the application

Northumbrian Water Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence serial number 6/33/42/*G/0069 which authorises the abstraction of water from groundwater at National Grid Reference (NGR) TM 04 75.

The variation applied for is: the addition of a new borehole at the location above. The licenced quantities shall remain at 454,600 cubic metres per year, 2,273 cubic metres per day, and 95.5 cubic metres per hour.
