Details

This document outlines the projects granted under the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986 during 2016 with a primary purpose of translational applied research - other human disorders and non-regulatory toxicology/ecotoxicology.

The following projects were granted:

  • experimental surgery in pigs under terminal anaesthesia (pigs, surgery, model)

  • the use of in vivo models for drug discovery (inflammation diabetes pain)

  • zebrafish: an alternative model for the safety assessment of agrochemicals (toxicology; agrochemical)

  • hazard of nanomaterials and related substance (nanomaterials, particulates, safety classification)
