NNB Generation Company (SZC) Limited has applied to the Environment Agency to vary a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application (in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006).

The application is to vary licence serial number AN/035/0003/009, which authorises the abstraction of water from a Crag borehole at National Grid Reference (NGR) TM 45050 63234. This is used to maintain flow through the Leiston Drain.

The variation is to move:

  1. the Acoustic Doppler Velocity Meter, which measures the flow in the Leiston Drain, from the currently authorised position at NGR TM 45423 63478, to a new position at NGR TM 45442 63494.

  2. the discharge point for the release of water into the Leiston Drain from the currently authorised position at NGR TM 45423 63478, to a new position at NGR TM 45248 63326.
