Details of the application

Nigel Gough has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract (take) water from the River Beult at Boughton Bottom Farm, Boughton Monchelsea, Maidstone, Kent at National Grid Reference TQ 77252 48014.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 180 cubic metres an hour
  • 4,000 cubic metres a day
  • 20,000 cubic metres a year

Between 1 November and 31 March inclusive in each year.

The water will be used for topping up a recreational fishing lake and fish breeding ponds.
