Newmafruit Farms Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.
The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Stour catchment.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water as follows:
- at an instantaneous rate of 0.9 litres per second
- 3 cubic metres an hour
- 72 cubic metres a day
- 6,989 cubic metres a year
- between 1 May and 30 September inclusive in each year
- at National Grid Reference TR 09704 58210
- from abstraction location underground strata comprising chalk at Denstead, Upper Harbledown, Kent.
The water will be used for Trickle irrigation storage.
