How and when to tell us about changes in your employment or any other circumstances that may affect your eligibility for a national Clinical Impact or Excellence Award.

Details

This guidance is for people who hold a national Clinical Impact Award (NCIA) or national Clinical Excellence Award (NCEA). It covers:

  • continued eligibility criteria
  • when to tell us if your employment circumstances change
  • how to appeal our decision

  1. The ‘Change in employment of NCIA and NCEA holders: notification form’ has been replaced with an updated version and the PDF form has been removed. The ‘Change of circumstances: guide for NICA and NCEA award holders’ has been updated to replace the information on continued eligibility with a link to a new page, and to add 2 new sections: ‘Change of employer or job plan’ and ‘Extenuating circumstances’. The section on secondments and sabbaticals has been updated: if you are seconded part time or have a part-time sabbatical and continue some work from your original contract part time, you may be eligible for a pro rata payment. Information about secondments to the independent sector treatment programme has been removed.
