This guidance tells HM Passport Office examination staff about diplomatic, consular and international organisation immunity. It tells them:

  • when and how to check if a parent has diplomatic privileges
  • how to deal with applications including when we:
    • cannot confirm if a parent had diplomatic privileges
    • confirm a parent had diplomatic privileges
