community connection, cohesion and belonging
-
skills and opportunities for life and work
-

Throughout the research young people acknowledged that themes in the findings overlap and inform each other. Some research priorities include:
- Financial security is important for their wellbeing and future prospects.
- The decline in community spaces has really been felt by young people.
- Mental health is a priority and young people highlight gaps in support services.
- Young people also want practical skills and improved guidance in navigating their education and employment.
- There are concerns about safety and security, young people want to be protected online and offline.
- Young people want to have a say in decisions that affect them, but they do not feel that their voices are heard sufficiently right now.
The report contains an executive summary, an introductory chapter that introduces the research aims and the methodology used. It then sets out five chapters, each focusing on findings for one of the aforementioned outcomes. The report ends with a conclusion chapter.
