The National Tutoring Programme (NTP) supports schools to respond to the disruption to learning caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The programme offers 3 routes of support:

  • tuition partners
  • academic mentors
  • school led tutoring

The evaluation used a mixed methods approach to look at how schools implemented these routes, particularly school led tutoring which was new for this academic year.

The report also examines what school leaders think about the NTP and their experiences using it.
