This report discusses the detail of the National Transport Model (NTM) version 2 development and update to a 2015 base year. This includes updates to the model inputs to incorporate the values of time from the WebTAG databook and revised trip characteristics for all modes of travel based on the latest best available data sources. These data sources include:

  • National Travel Survey
  • Transport Statistics Great Britain
  • National Express ticket prices
  • Transport for London road user charge
  • MOIRA rail model results
  • Travel demand data from National Trip End Model v7.0
