This paper evaluates the changes that were made to the national minumum wage (NMW) regime by the Employment Act 2008. The changes were part of the process set out in the document ‘Post-legislative scrutiny - the government’s approach’ published in March 2008.
The aim of the review was to consider the effect of the changes on employers and employees, and how successful they have been in achieving the expected objectives.
