This is the Secretary of State for Transport’s report to Parliament on the performance of National Highways between 1 April 2025 and 31 March 2026, the year of the Strategic Road Network: interim settlement 2025 to 2026. 

The report builds on advice from the Office of Rail and Road, in its role as highways monitor, and from National Highways’ own reporting. 

It includes updates on the delivery of capital through:

• enhancement and renewals projects
• operational performance
