Details

This report is an independent evaluation of the e-scooter trials, covering data up to December 2021. The report, which was commissioned by the Department for Transport, examines:

  • how and why rental e-scooters are used
  • who uses them
  • safety
  • mode shift
  • environmental and wider social impacts

The evidence will inform future e-scooter policy.

The government has published a full response to this evaluation report, outlining key learning points.
