National Cyber Security Strategy 2013: forward plans and achievements

2 years on from the National Cyber Security Strategy, the government has published progress against its objectives and our forward plans.

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

2 years have passed since we first set out our goals in the National Cyber Security Strategy.

Much has been done towards delivering the 4 strategy objectives:

  • making the UK one of the most secure places in the world to do business in cyberspace
  • making the UK more resilient to cyber attack and better able to protect our interests in cyberspace
  • helping shape an open, vibrant and stable cyberspace that supports open societies
  • building the UK’s cyber security knowledge, skills and capability

Read a report on progress and our forward plans.

Francis Maude has also delivered a written ministerial statement on progress so far.
