Nathaniel Bacon, Christopher Nicholas Bacon, Margaret Anne Bacon and James John Skellorn trading as N J Bacon Farms have applied to the Environment Agency for a licence .

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from Minsmere New Cut at National Grid Reference (NGR) TM 44182 67566.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 108 cubic metres an hour
  • 2,592 cubic metres a day
  • 250,000 cubic metres a year

Between 1 November and 31 March inclusive in each year.

The water will be used for filling a reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation.
