MWH Treatment Limited: application made to abstract water

MWH Treatment Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a licence to abstract water from Warwickshire Avon - Secondary Mudrocks underground strata within an area defined by National Grid References SP 53130 82967, SP 53213 83003, SP 53252 82929 and SP 53163 82889 to transfer it to surface watercourse River Swift at National Grid Reference SP 53025 82766 without intervening use.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 50 cubic metres an hour

  • 400 cubic metres a day

  • 73,000 cubic metres a year

  • between 1 January and 31 December inclusive in each year.

Abstraction will take place each day as appropriate.
