The MOT test fees and appeals poster (VT9A) has been updated.
You must replace your current MOT test fees and appeals poster with the new version by 12 June 2026.
How to display the new poster
You must print the new poster as either:
- 2 A4 (portrait) pages, using pages 1 and 2
- 1 A3 (landscape) page
You must display it in line with MOT notice board requirements.
What’s changed
The updated poster includes:
- updates on the changes to class 7 vehicles
- updates on the appeals process, including a QR code that links to GOV.UK
- information about photographs at the time of test
Why this is important
Displaying the latest poster will make sure your customers get accurate and up-to-date information.
You must put the poster on or near a publicly viewable noticeboard. This is a mandatory part of being authorised as an MOT centre.
Failure to display the latest version may result in non-compliance with MOT scheme requirements.
