Morrisroe Demolition Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a licence to abstract water from river terrace deposits at City Hall, The Queens Walk, London, between National Grid References TQ 33421 80212, TQ 33469 80214, TQ 33475 80161 and TQ 33421 80164, and transfer it to the River Thames without intervening use.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 162 cubic metres an hour
- 3,888 cubic metres a day
- 600,000 cubic metres a year.
Abstraction will take place until July 2026.
All water abstracted will be returned to the River Thames at National Grid Reference TQ 33469 80213.
