MOJ Welsh Language Scheme Annual Monitoring Report 2017 to 2018
This report is a self-assessment of how the Ministry of Justice has delivered its commitments under its Welsh Language Scheme between April 2017 and March 2018.

Details
Our 2017 to 2018 Annual Monitoring Report sets out how MOJ has complied with the provisions of our Welsh Language Scheme. This includes the following key achievements relating to policy development, recruitment and delivery of services to the public:
- Development and translation of revised cremation forms and guidance to ensure they are all available in Welsh for the introduction of the Cremation (England and Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2017 which came into force on 6 April 2018.
- Design, development and improvement of our draft revised corporate Welsh Language Scheme 2018 through ongoing engagement with key stakeholders (and publishing our new final Scheme in June 2018 via Press Notice) following Welsh Language Commissioner approval on 9 April 2018.
- Key MOJ consultations being available in Welsh from the MoJ Consultation Hub on our ‘corporate’ GOV.UK pages and from the ‘mainstream’ pages of GOV.UK
