Details

There are 43 FMPs developed under the Joint Fisheries Statement to support a sustainable and profitable fishing industry.

Marine Management Organisation (MMO) was commissioned by Defra to lead development and drafting of six FMPs.

We worked with stakeholders in commercial and recreational fishing, environmental organisations and other key marine bodies to understand their views, particularly on which species should be a priority, potential management changes and sustainability.

See Fisheries management plans - GOV.UK for policy information.
